The latest roof-top break-in police responded to is at Daddy Records on West Broad Avenue. It happened sometime late Thursday night to early Friday morning.
The burglars entered through the roof and made a big hole in the ceiling to gain access to the store. It is the same way burglars entered into the 229 Fashions store, right up the road.
The owner of 229 Fashions Tim Shelton says it's not easy starting a business in Albany from the ground up. And the challenges are magnified when criminals strike.

We were broken into last week the one good thing though is the Interwatch Security system picked this up. We were back home in the UK and got the alert about 3am. So we logged on and saw the little blighter in our home. We downloaded the video evidence and presented this to the local police. We are waiting to here back from them

My home was broken into a few months ago and they stole everything including my stove. It is astonishing that criminals will go to such far lenghts to steal!
Surveillance has become an important method of detecting conspicuous person that has a potential danger to everyone, and preventing such of doing their goal toward terror. Such surveillance will be impossible without the help of high end CCTV cameras, that's monitoring non-stop around the clock.
So when these guys broke in, where was the security system? I cant belive no secuirty system was installed at these premises.
Thats happens in Ireland. We use slate roof which can be pulled apart a bit too easily. Im in the security business myself and we actually can alarm roofs but its not common.

A good motion detector could have really helped out in this situation.
Two break-ins in a similar area mean that the criminals should both occur on both of the premises' security cameras. Should be trackable.
The other businesses in the area should be stocking up on their Security Products as soon as possible.
